Public Utilities Department Product Review Committee (PRC)

If you are interested in having your product added to Appendix B of the Water, Wastewater, and Reclaimed Water Technical Specifications for use in Hillsborough County Public Utilities Department (HC-PUD) potable, reclaimed, and wastewater systems, you must complete a product submittal package and submit for review by the HC-PUD Product Review Committee (PRC). A product must be approved prior to bid advertisement to be eligible for consideration for that bid.

A product submittal package is a single deliverable electronic file (PDF) that the PRC uses to evaluate each product.  This has been standardized in order to increase review speed and efficiency while guaranteeing consistency

This file is provided for you to import (or copy) the information for your submittal into the appropriate sections of the TOC pages of your submittal.  Adobe Acrobat Professional, Kinko's, and Pro-Copy are examples of tools and services that you may use to accomplish this task.

To minimize delays, please thoroughly read these documents.  All TOC sections must be complete and in the proper format BEFORE the PRC process can begin.  Missing information will delay or disqualify your submittal.  Please remember, to us your product submittal reflects on the integrity and professionalism of the company backing the product.

The PRC is scheduled to have its quarterly meeting on the last Thursday during the months of January, April, July, and October. The meetings will start at 1:30 PM at the Brandon Support Operations Complex (BSOC).  These meetings may be delayed or postponed depending on workload, product information availability or other factors. Please Note:  There is a 5 MB e-mail limit for all e-mails received by the County.  If your submittal is greater than this, you may consider sending it in section by section, sending a compact disk (or thumb drive), or making some other arrangement with the Technical Review Officer (TRO).  All product communication will be done through the TRO.
