Pet Resources operates the Hillsborough County animal shelter
What we do
The shelter accepts cats and dogs regardless of age, breed, size, or medical condition, and attempts to find them permanent or foster homes. The department handles pet registration tags, and offers spay/neuter vouchers for the pets of income-qualifying residents.

Animal Control
Pet Resources is not in charge of animal control issues. The Code Enforcement department's Animal Control division handles pet-related ordinances and citations, and investigates reports of animal abuse, dangerous pets, or dog bites.
