The Fire Marshal’s Office grants fireworks display permits.
Fees
- Open air display permit - $200 per day
- Indoor, covered display permit - $300 per day
- Fire Watch standard rate - $50 per hour/4 hour minimum

Things To Consider
- Advance notice of 15 days is required – NO EXCEPTIONS
- Insurance:
- Include a copy of the insurance certificate
- Certificate of insurance must be for at least $3,000,000
- Must list Hillsborough as addition insured and as the Certificate Holder
- List as Hillsborough County, A political subdivision of the State of Florida
- Include a copy of license from the Department of Treasury-Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms User-Limited Permit (18 U.S.C. Chapter 40, Explosives)
- Fire Watch (download application packet for complete list of Fire Watch requirements):
- Provided by Hillsborough County Fire Rescue (HCFR)
- If HCFR is unavailable, you may hire a private security company approved by the Fire Marshal's Office and the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ)Once private security is approved, include a copy of the contract with the application package
- Zero fall out is allowed
