Early Bird Paddle at Edward Medard Conservation Park

7 to 9:30 a.m.

Beat the heat and catch the first rays of the day while paddling the 700-acre Edward Medard Reservoir.

This guided canoe and kayak trip will take you on a leisurely 2-hour paddle around the Edward Medard Reservoir. Learn about the history of the reservoir and the exciting plants and animals that live in and around it. The highlight of the tour will be passing by a protected rookery that is home to a stunning variety of wading birds, so be sure to bring your camera and binoculars.

Things to know

  • Fee is $5 per person, plus $2 per vehicle park entry
  • Canoe and kayak rentals available for $25 per vessel if you don't have your own
  • Pre-registration required to participate
  • All skill levels welcome
  • Ages 10 & up
  • No pets
  • Maximum of 30 participants

  • Change of clothes
