Hiking Spree - Guided Hike

Morning Hike at Medard Park

Join us at Medard Park for a special birding for beginners hike hosted by Hillsborough County volunteer and Tampa Bay Audubon Society President, Mary Keith. Learn common bird habitats,  behaviors, and identification tips and tricks. This guided hike will count toward the 2017-2018 Hillsborough County Hiking Spree, in which completing 8 out of 20 selected hikes will earn you an Access Hiker Patch or Medallion.

Things to know

  • The program is free, but attendees must register ahead of time
  • $2park entry fee per vehicle
  • Approximately 3-4 miles
  • Off-road trail, uneven terrain
  • Maximum of 15 participants
  • Closed toed shoes required

  • Water
  • Binoculars/Camera
  • Field guides (for ID)
  • Bug spray
