Mellow Monday Hike at Lake Rogers
Mellow Mondays is a new hiking series to help you welcome the week with a low-key hike at some of Hillsborough County's wildest places.
These hikes are intended for new hikers, people who don't want to hike alone, people who want to explore some of the places they haven't been yet, or anyone who wants to join others in a no-pressure walk in the woods.
These hikes will also feature Hiking Spree eligible places so you can check them off your list and earn the rewards!
This hike is at Lake Rogers Conservation Park. We will meet at the trailhead kiosk by the parking lot. The hike will afford you the chance to catch a glimpse of some local wildlife and gorgeous morning views as you traverse the 2.4 mile Magnolia Trail around the lake with your closest hiking friends. We will enjoy the cooler temperatures of the morning and look for some native plants and animals as we make our way through the preserve. Walkers, birders, dogs, and photographers alike are welcome to join this early morning excursion.
Because these hikes are with staff but not interpretive, they are free. There is however, a $2 parking fee to park. There is no roadside parking. Registration is required.
For more information, contact Ashley Martin or call (813) 365-5275.
