County Auditor background info and duties
County Internal Auditor, Peggy Caskey was appointed by and reports to the Board of County Commissioners.
Duties
The Internal Auditor is appointed by the County Commissioners and conducts continuing studies of the operation of county programs and services. The County Internal Auditor's Office was revised by voters in the 2010 Charter (see section 4.10) after originally being established by an addition to the Charter in 2002.

Peggy, has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of South Florida. She has over 30 years of professional experience in government and private organizations. Her professional background includes: aerospace metal distribution, accounting, auditing, banking, bookkeeping, and tax preparation. She is a Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Information Systems Auditor, and a Certified Fraud Examiner.
