SouthShore Sportsplex

The SouthShore Sportsplex features four multisport athletic fields, all featuring synthetic Astro turf. The fields will be able to accommodate a variety of different sports, including soccer, football, and lacrosse. Starting in the fall of 2023, all fields will be available to rent for practice, league play, and tournaments.

The park is home to one of the largest contiguous synthetic turf fields in the country.

A one of a kind complex that also consist of a playground, pavilions, LED lighting, a concession building with restrooms, offices, and meeting space, and parking for more than 500 vehicles.

Rental pricing

• $30 per hour with a two-hour minimum rental period
• $275 per day/per field for daily rentals

Below, you'll find this week's Open Play schedule, detailing which fields are available for “Open Play” pick-up games and athletic training. Grab your gear, invite your friends, and join us for some unscripted sporting action! “ Open Play is free and open to the public, but you must sign in at the office before you begin playing.

Open Play – Join us for open play sports sessions, where you can enjoy the fun of pick-up games, all in a laid-back atmosphere. Grab your gear, invite some friends, and enjoy the game on our state-of-the-art synthetic turfs!

Open Play Training and Exercise – Open Play Training and Exercise is a time for you to come out and train. During Open Play Training and Exercise time slots, the field(s) are available for sporting drills, agility training, and other individual exercises. There are no pickup games or paid personal training* allowed during these time slots. Please share the field space respectfully with others.

*Training and Exercise is for individual training only, no paid trainers are allowed to operate without a permit. To inquire about a permit, please email us.

Field Rental Application

Field Rental

A field rental is required for ALL Organized Field Use on any Hillsborough County Sports field.

Organized field use refers to any deliberate, planned, or coordinated activities involving multiple individuals or groups utilizing designated fields or public spaces for the purpose of conducting organized events, gatherings, competitions, training sessions, practices, or any other similar activities.

This includes, but is not limited to, sporting events, recreational programs, personal training, team practices, tournaments, or any other activities that require prearranged scheduling, reservations, fees, permits, or coordination among participants.

Rent Athletic Fields

Pets are not allowed on the fields. Food and colored drinks are not permitted on the fields. To preserve the longevity and safety of the fields, please consume food and drinks in the designated picnic areas and bleachers surrounding the field. Cleaning and repairing artificial turf fields that have been subjected to food and drink-related damage can be costly and time-consuming. These expenses may divert resources away from maintaining the fields for their intended purpose.
