Park temporarily closed - to be used as a temporary debris management site
Sydney Dover (Trails) Conservation Park will be used as a County temporary debris management site from Friday. Oct. 14 - Nov. 21, 2022, and will be closed to the public to accommodate the handling of vegetative debris from Hurricane Ian. The site will NOT be open to the public for residential drop off.
The County's disaster debris contractor will operate from 7 AM to 7 PM each day, seven days a week until all debris is cleared from rights of way located in unincorporated areas of eastern Hillsborough County. If needed, the date may be extended.
About
This conservation park features a popular 7.5-mile equestrian trail, located east of Brandon, and is high and dry most of the year. The trail has changes in contour because of its history as a reclaimed phosphate mine. The trailhead has plenty of space for horse trailers, plus an informational kiosk and trail map. Please note, we do not provide horseback riding rentals; you must bring your own horse.
The trail is located at 535 N. Dover Rd. Take Hwy. 60 to N. Dover Road and turn north. Continue approximately ½ mile to parking area on the east side of the road.
Call Edward Medard Conservation Park at (813) 757-3802 for additional information.
