The Wimauma Healthy Living Center, run by the Hillsborough County department, serves members of the Hillsborough County Health Care Plan, as well as Hillsborough County residents who are 18 years and older and are enrolled in the Healthy Living program.
The Healthy Living Center is part of the Suncoast Wimauma Community Health Center building, which also houses the Wimauma Senior Center, run by the Hillsborough County department.
Healthy living program
We have multiple healthy living fitness centers around Hillsborough County, which are part of the Healthy Living program. Each center offers an exercise room where one-on-one wellness consultations are available upon request and group exercise classes (in-person and virtual). There are also health education programs, classes and events such as:
- Heart Health / BP classes
- Nutrition consultations
- Diabetes prevention and management program
- Cancer education/prevention classes
- Weight loss programs
- Healthy cooking classes
- Group walking classes
- Quarterly health screenings
