Stuffed Animal Sleepover to Teach Kids About Fire Safety

Hillsborough County, Fla. (November 30, 2017) - When it comes to being brave, a favorite stuffed toy can be a child's best buddy. To help teach kids about fire safety during the holidays, Hillsborough County Fire Rescue is hosting their annual Stuffed Animal Sleepover this weekend at Northdale Station No. 41.

Families will drop off their child's stuffed animal to experience life at the fire station, including training with the crew, inspecting the fire engine, and daily tasks. Their adventures will be recorded in photos and on video, then shared when the children pick up the toys for a Saturday morning program that will include tours of the station and education on fire safety in the home.

The free event is already booked; all slots for the program have been filled.
