Registration Deadline is Feb. 13 for Tri-County Florida-Friendly Landscaping Workshop

Hillsborough County, Fla. (Jan. 25, 2019) - Your landscaping can make others green with envy - and save on water and chemical use too - with tips learned from Florida-Friendly Landscaping experts during a tri-county Extension Service workshop on Friday, Feb. 15.

You, Too, Can Have a Florida-Friendly Landscape is scheduled from 9 AM to 2:30 PM at the Land O' Lakes Heritage Park Community Center, 5401 Land O' Lakes Blvd. in Pasco County. Topics include landscape design, plant selection, wildlife gardens, and landscape care.

Florida-Friendly Landscaping emphasizes using low-maintenance plants and environmentally sustainable practices. Extension agents from Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas counties, along with landscape design specialist University of Florida Associate Professor Gail Hansen, are teaming up to share their knowledge and resources.
