Suspect Arrested and Charged in Commercial Structure Fire on Dale Mabry
Hillsborough County, Fla. (March 13, 2019) - Hillsborough County Fire Rescue arson investigators have arrested and charged a suspect in the Pete's Place North & Liquor Store fire that took place on March 11. The business was occupied at the time of the fire and arson investigators made an arrest only 24 hours after the incident.
On March 12, 2019, at approximately 2:30 a.m., a suspect in the Pete's Place North & Liquor Store fire was identified and held for questioning by Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies. Upon questioning by a Hillsborough County Fire Rescue Arson Investigator, Austin Lee Hershey, 23, was arrested without incident and charged with First Degree Arson of the business. Only 24 hours earlier, at approximately 2:30 a.m. on March 11, 2019, Hillsborough County Fire Rescue crews responded to a structure fire in the 8600 block of N. Dale Mabry Highway. Firefighters had the fire under control in about 10 minutes.
