Riverview and Balm Communities Invited to Public Meeting on Proposed Fire Station on Rhodine Rd.

Hillsborough County, Fla. (Sept. 9, 2019) - Hillsborough County is hosting a public information meeting on Monday, Sept. 16, to gather input on a proposed fire station in Riverview. The meeting at the Balm Park and Community Center will begin at 6:30 p.m.

The proposed new fire station will be located near the southeast corner of US 301 and Rhodine Drive. There is currently a Hillsborough County Public Utilities Maintenance Facility on the parcel. The four-bay station house will be about 12,000 square feet. Hillsborough County Fire Chief Dennis Jones will be in attendance at the meeting.

The meeting will have an open house format, with a project map available for viewing. Attendees can review, ask questions, and comment on the proposed site.
