Commissioner Miller Re-Elected as Chairman during BOCC Annual Organizational Meeting

Hillsborough County, Fla. (Nov. 14, 2019) - The Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners today selected Commissioner Lesley "Les" Miller, Jr. as chairman, and Commissioner Kimberly Overman as vice chairman, during its annual organizational meeting. Commissioner Stacy R. White will serve as chaplain.

Chairman Miller represents District 3 and was elected in 2010. He previously served as a member of the Florida Senate from 2000-2006, and a member of the Florida House of Representatives from 1992-2000. Miller also previously served as Associate Vice President and Dean for Students for the University of South Florida, and as the manager of Minority Business Development and Governmental Relations for Tampa General Hospital. He also served in the U.S. Air Force.

Commissioners also serve on various boards, committees, and councils on which they hold seats. More information on these positions will be available later today.
