(Dec. 6, 2019) - Hillsborough County Extension Service, in partnership with the University of Florida's Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences, offers a wide variety of interesting educational classes, seminars, and workshops on such topics as parenting, youth development, gardening, nutrition, money management, agriculture, and professional certifications reviews and exams.

Community Gardening Series: Pollinators

Child Care Provider Training - What Does Time Mean to Children?

What do children of different ages know and understand about time? Why do children and adults struggle when it's time to clean up? Participants will learn ways to build on children's understanding of "yesterday," "today," and "tomorrow." Exam Review Classes for Private Agricultural Applicator and CORE Standards
Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 8 a.m.
University of Florida Gulf Coast Research and Education Center, 14625 County Road 672 in Wimauma
A license is necessary for persons who apply or supervise the application of restricted use pesticides for agricultural production, such as nursery, greenhouse, farm, or grove. Worker Protection Standard - Train the Trainer
Thursday, Dec. 12 at 9 a.m.
University of Florida Gulf Coast Research and Education Center, 14625 County Road 672 in Wimauma
The Worker Protection Standard (WPS) is a federal program designed to protect agricultural farm workers in the production of agricultural plants. A person is qualified to teach WPS to farm workers if he/she holds a restricted use pesticide license or has completed the WPS Train the Trainer course.
