Due to High Demand, Hillsborough County No Longer Making COVID-19 Drive-Through Test Appointments
Hillsborough County, Fla. (March 26, 2020) - The Hillsborough County call center has made appointments for 900 residents since opening lines this week for people with COVID-19 symptoms. Based on the limited number of test kits available, no more appointments will be made for the drive-through test site until further notice.
The call center has been staffed by health care professionals this week who could screen and qualify callers for testing related to symptoms consistent with COVID-19 coronavirus.
If you have coronavirus symptoms, please contact your health care provider for further guidance on testing options. If you are sick and unable to get tested, you should self-quarantine. Stay in a specific "sick room" if possible, and away from other people in your home. Use a separate bathroom if available, and clean high-touch surfaces often.
