Hillsborough Emergency Policy Group Meeting Scheduled for Monday, May 18

COVID-19 coronavirus Update No. 113

Hillsborough County, Fla. (May 18, 2020) - The Hillsborough County Emergency Policy Group (EPG) will meet on Monday, May 18, at 1:30 p.m. to discuss the ongoing response to the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus. The meeting will be conducted virtually, via a conferencing application. The public and the media can listen in live at:

The EPG has set aside 20 minutes at the beginning of each meeting to hear from the public. Speakers are limited to the first ten sign-ups. In order to sign up to speak, residents should fill out this form online. The Chairman will call on speakers by name. Prioritization is on a first-come first-served basis. Each speaker will be allowed two minutes to address the EPG.

The Hillsborough County Emergency Policy Group is comprised of three County Commissioners, the mayors from the cities of Plant City, Tampa, and Temple Terrace, the Sheriff, and Chairman of the School Board. Authority is granted by Article 8 of the Florida Constitution, Section 125.66 and Chapter 252, Florida Statutes. Hillsborough County enacted Hillsborough County Code of Ordinances and Laws Chapter 22, Article II, Sections 22-23 in order to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the County's residents during declared emergencies.
