COVID-19 Dashboard Makes Coronavirus Data Accessible to Residents

COVID-19 Coronavirus Update No. 176

Hillsborough County, Fla. (July 13, 2020) - To help residents make the most informed decisions to keep themselves and their families safe, Hillsborough County has launched a comprehensive COVID-19 coronavirus dashboard, easily accessible on the County's website at HCFLGov.net/Covid19Dashboard.

The dashboard, an aggregate of such important data as testing numbers, positive cases, and the number of COVID-19 patients being treated in local hospital systems, is laid out on a clear, easily digestible webpage. Users can scroll through visual data charts and click on icons to review the information available in each area.

The dashboard utilizes the most up-to-date data available in Hillsborough County. Most of the numbers are updated twice daily. The data related to coronavirus testing is updated once each week.

Data for the dashboard utilizes many original sources, including the Florida Department of Health, Tampa General Hospital Data Exchange, the United States Census Bureau, and the Florida Office of Economic Development.

Residents are encouraged to visit the COVID-19 dashboard frequently, as information will refresh, and incremental adjustments to the dashboard itself will continue to improve its usefulness to residents.

The COVID-19 dashboard is just the latest tool to be added to HCFLGov.net/Stay Safe, Hillsborough County's public safety website.
