Appointments No Longer Required at Two More Hillsborough COVID-19 Testing Locations

COVID-19 coronavirus Update No. 276

Hillsborough County, Fla. (Feb. 15, 2021) - COVID-19 coronavirus testing at Hillsborough County's Vance Vogel Sports Complex and William Owen Pass Sports Complex no longer is being done by appointment.

The Vance Vogel Sports Complex is located at 13012 Bullfrog Creek in Riverview. The William Owen Pass Sports Complex is located at 1300 Sydney Dover Road in Dover. Both locations are open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Testing is now being done at these sites on a first-come, first-serve basis.

There is no out-of-pocket cost to be tested. A doctor's note or prescription is not required. Health insurance information is being collected in accordance with federal guidance; however, individuals will not be asked to pay a copay or deductible. Individuals who do not have health insurance will still be tested.

The change is the result of a transition to a contracted vendor, CDR Maguire, to staff operations at the County's public testing locations.

Residents wishing to be tested at these two locations, as well as at the Lee Davis Community Resource Center, 3402 N. 22nd St. in Tampa, can save time at the site by creating a user account online before arriving. Visit the online CDR HealthPro™ portal at patientportalfl.com. Click on the "Get Tested" button to pre-register and receive a patient ID and barcode via email or text message. This will expedite the check-in process at the testing site.

For information about additional public testing sites, what to bring with you to the site, and what to expect when you arrive there, go to HCFLGov.net/COVIDTesting, or call (888) 513-6321.
