Hillsborough to Pick Up Unwanted Items in Timberlane Area in Town 'N' Country

Residents can save a trip to the landfill by putting furniture, debris at curb

Hillsborough County, Fla. (Sept. 22, 2021) - How a community looks can impact how residents feel. Illegal dump sites and code violations can affect health, safety, and property values throughout a neighborhood.

From Sept. 24-Oct. 1, the Hillsborough County Rapid Response Team is offering free curbside pickup in the Timberlane area for items that normally would require a trip to the landfill. Residents who live within the area can put furniture, junk and debris, metal, electronics, and up to five tires at their curbside, and Rapid Response will haul away the materials for free. All items should be placed curbside by 5 a.m. the day of collection; taking the items to the curb the night before is recommended.

The cleanup is open to residents who live within the following boundaries:

  • North of Hillsborough Avenue
  • South of Channel A
  • East of Mertens Avenue/Timberlane West Drive
  • West of Sheldon Road
Code Enforcement encourages residents to take advantage of the free community cleanup and restore their property to avoid code violations. Yard waste, commercial vehicle tires, and hazardous chemicals will not be accepted. For more information, call (813) 352-2473.
