Intersection Improvement Project at Anderson and Sligh will Improve Safety and Capacity

Hillsborough County, Fla. (Nov. 4, 2021) - Hillsborough County is planning an intersection improvement project at Sligh Avenue and Anderson Road in Town 'N Country that will improve traffic movement and pedestrian safety.

This project will improve the intersection of Anderson Road at Sligh Avenue by realigning eastbound and westbound movements through the intersection and adding a northbound right-turn lane. Sidewalks and curbing will be added or replaced to improve pedestrian connectivity and increase accessibility in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

The purpose of this virtual public engagement is to receive input from the public about the County's recommended improvements.

The $3.2 million intersection improvement project would be complete by late 2022.

Public Engagement Opportunity

The County will conduct a virtual engagement using The Hillsborough Engagement Hub to collect feedback from the public. Public comment for this project is open until Tuesday, Nov. 16. Visit HCFLGov.net/HCEngage to participate.
