Hillsborough County to Host Pearl Harbor Day 80th Anniversary Remembrance Ceremony

Hillsborough County, Fla. (Dec. 1, 2021) - Hillsborough County Consumer & Veterans Services and the Veterans Council of Hillsborough County will host a Pearl Harbor Day 80th Anniversary remembrance ceremony on Tuesday, Dec. 7, at 10 a.m.

The event will take place in the outdoor amphitheater at Veterans Memorial Park & Rear Admiral LeRoy Collins, Jr. Museum, 3602 U.S. Hwy. 301 N., Tampa, FL 33619.

The event will honor U.S. military service members who gave the ultimate sacrifice 80 years ago at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, marking America's entry into World War II. The patriotic remembrance is free and open to the public. It will include guest speakers, historical tributes, a POW/MIA Missing Man ceremony, a rifle detail, and the playing of taps.

The park features numerous monuments honoring Veterans of all eras. Attendees are encouraged to visit the monuments before or after the ceremony. Park hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
