Providence Skate Park Celebrates 10 Years of Thrills, Spills on Saturday

Hillsborough County, Fla. (May 13, 2022) - Providence Skate Park on Saturday, May 14, will celebrate a decade's worth of ollies, aerials, and kickflips.

The popular skateboard park will mark the occasion with a best-trick contest, live music, the premiere of a video showcasing the park's skateboarding talent over the past 10 years, and vendors selling local apparel, skateboards, and art.

The 10-year-anniversary event is free; no pre-registration is required. The celebration begins at 1 p.m. at the park, 5720 Providence Rd., Riverview, FL 33578.

Providence Skate Park is the county's first skate park and is known as the "Concrete Jungle.'' The largest of the County's skate parks at 14,500 square feet, this park is suited for intermediate and professional level skaters as well as beginners. It features a series of transitional elements that includes quarter pipes, a handrail, a pyramid, a step-up, and various granite structures. The park attracts hundreds of kids and adults each year and is managed by Cian Barry, who grew up using the park.
