Hillsborough County Schedules News Conference for 10 a.m. Monday Regarding Hurricane Ian

Hurricane Ian Update No. 5

Hillsborough County, Fla. (Sept. 26, 2022) - Hillsborough County Emergency officials will host a news conference at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 26, at the Hillsborough Public Safety Operations Complex, 9450 E. Columbus Dr., Tampa, FL 33619 to discuss evacuation plans.

There will be a briefing from County Administrator Bonnie Wise, Hillsborough County Office of Emergency Management Director Timothy Dudley, and other elected officials. The public is invited to watch the briefing via Hillsborough County's YouTube Channel at YouTube.com/HillsboroughCounty.

All County facilities are closed today to support emergency operations.

Update on Sandbag Operations

Hillsborough County continues to make sandbags available to the public from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26

Sandbags will be available at the following locations from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday Sept. 26:

Hillsborough County residents are eligible for a maximum of 10 sandbags per vehicle. Residents must show ID verifying they live in the County; a driver's license or utility bill will serve as proper identification.
