County Issues Mandatory Evacuation for Zone B Ahead of Hurricane Ian, Sandbag locations at capacity
Hillsborough County, Fla. (Sept. 27, 2022) - Hillsborough County has issued a mandatory evacuation for Evacuation Zone B starting at 12 p.m. today ahead of Hurricane Ian. All residents in Zone A, Zone B, those in mobile or manufactured homes, and those in low-lying areas prone to flooding must be evacuated by 9 p.m. tonight.
Sandbags Locations at Capacity
All sandbag locations are at capacity. Residents who are not currently in a line waiting for sandbags are asked not to drive to a site.
HART Providing Service in Mandatory Evacuation Zones A and B
The Hillsborough Transit Authority (HART) will operate fare-free in zones with mandatory evacuations until 9 p.m. For more information, visit GoHart.org or call HART Customer Service at (813) 254-4278.
