Hillsborough Postpones Aerial Treatment of Mosquitoes Until Monday

Hillsborough County, Fla. (Sept. 15, 2023) - Hillsborough County Mosquito Management Services has postponed the aerial applications of Dibrom to control adult mosquitoes. The treatment, which was previously scheduled for today, will now take place in conjunction with the South Tampa application on Monday, Sept. 18, 2023, between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. at the following locations:

Apollo Beach/North of Wolf Creek
5,816 acres
North Boundary: Big Bend Road
South Boundary: Golf & Sea Waterway (canal)
East Boundary: Interstate 75
West Boundary: Tampa Bay (body of water)

Apollo Beach/Wolf Creek; Ruskin/Mira Lago
5,816 acres
North Boundary: Mann's Harbour Drive
South Boundary: South of Cockroach Bay
East Boundary: West of S. Tamiami Trail (U.S. 41)
West Boundary: Tampa Bay (body of water)

Ruskin/Cockroach Bay
5,816 acres
North Boundary: Little Manatee River State Trail
South Boundary: College Avenue
East Boundary: S. Tamiami Trail (U.S. 41)
West Boundary: Tampa Bay (body of water)

The mission will be flown by a twin-engine airplane at an altitude of 300 feet.
