PRC Volunteer - Fran

Helping Hands at Pet Resource Center

Friendly face makes PRC visit that much more thanks to PRC volunteer

Meet Fran. Fran is a people person and retired a few years ago. Fran didn't want to sit around and not do anything so she set her sights on Hillsborough County's Pet Resource Center in 2015. A few times a week, Fran's face is the first thing you see when you walk in and she's happy to be there to help you.

What made you want to volunteer with PRC?
Fran: I retired a few years ago so it gives me an opportunity to get out of the house and be around animals. I love animals and love to pet the kitties as I volunteer in that area.

Favorite part of volunteering with PRC?
Fran: The ability to help people become acquainted with what we do and make it as easy as possible for when they come in to adopt.

What do you do for PRC?
Fran: I come in on Tuesdays and Thursdays for a few hours to work the information desk and greet people. As they come in, I properly direct them towards the right resources for them. I direct people to where the adoptable pets are and help answer as many questions as I can.
