2017 Disaster Planning Guides Now Available

Hillsborough County's planning resource offers preparedness, evacuation information

The official 2017 Hillsborough County All-Hazards Disaster Planning Guides are now available.

The guides provide preparedness information for a variety of hazards that impact the residents of Tampa Bay: hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, hazardous materials, and terrorism. Guides are available around the community in local libraries, post offices, City/County Offices, MacDill Air Force Base, and participating Publix Super Markets.

The guides contain hurricane evacuation zone maps for the coastal counties in the Tampa Bay area. It's important to remember to check your evacuation zone, as most zones were changed this year.
In the case of an emergency, Hillsborough County Fire Rescue Office of Emergency Management will recommend hurricane evacuations by Level (A, B, C, D or E), as shown on the color-coded maps. The maps also show the location of evacuation routes and public shelters.

If you need assistance in locating your zone, evacuation route, or evacuation shelter, please contact Hillsborough County Fire Rescue Office of Emergency Management at (813) 236-3800 or by emailing HCEOC@HCFLGov.net.
