Businesses Honored for Helping Victims of Hurricane Irma
Board commends Pepin Distributing Company and Skipper's Smokehouse for their hurricane relief efforts in the Florida Keys
The Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners presented two proclamations and two commendations during the October 18 meeting.
The recognitions include:
- Florida Native Plant Month- - A proclamation declaring October as Florida Native Plant Month was presented to the Florida Native Plant Society.
- Bullying Prevention Month - - Dr. Tom Massey, chairman of the Anti-Bullying Advisory Committee, accepted a proclamation declaring October as Bullying Prevention Month.
- Pepin Distributing Company - A commendation was presented to Pepin Distributing Company for its efforts in delivering life-saving supplies to the victims of Hurricane Irma in the Florida Keys.
- Cricket Larson and Skipper's Smokehouse- Skipper's Smokehouse Owner Tom White and Marketing Director Cricket Larson were each given a commendation for organizing a donation drive to benefit Florida Keys residents affected by Hurricane Irma.
