Library Goes Green - But Why?

Green lights showcase Hillsborough's sustainability efforts

The John F. Germany Library has gone green in honor of sustainability.

Sustainability is a movement to focus on initiatives and technology that enhance and conserve resources to benefit people, the environment, and the economy.

Hillsborough County has long been a national leader in sustainability. The green lights of the John F. Germany library are an invitation to passers-by to find out what the County is doing to be sustainable, and a challenge to be more sustainable at home. The library will be illuminated green through this year's holiday season.
