Another Chance to Shred with the Best

Second of three-part skate contest is Aug. 23 (rescheduled from August 16 due to weather)

One leg down, two to go in the 2019 Best Shredder skateboard competition. The annual three-part skate series tests the skills of those who prefer to ride the concrete waves.

Apollo Beach Skate Park, with its real-street and skate plaza features, is the site of the second competition. With a skating surface of 11,000 square feet, there's something for everyone no matter your skating ability. The terrain at Apollo Beach offers options for all skill levels. Features unique to Apollo Beach Skate Park include:

  • Euro gaps
  • Hubba ledges
  • Five stair
  • Handrails 

Installment 2 is Friday, August 23 (rescheduled from August 16 due to weather). Registration for all Best Shredder installments begin at 5 PM and contests begin at 6 PM. Competitions are held in five divisions:

  • 8 and under
  • 9 - 12
  • 13 - 15
  • 16 and up
  • Sponsored

First-, second- and third-place prizes are awarded in each division, and for the overall series Best Shredder. For more information, visit HCFLGov.net/Skate.
