Save a Life, Help Clear Our Shelter
Hillsborough County's Pet Resource Center (PRC) has more than 350 dogs and cats available for adoption. Tampa Bay residents are urged to come save a life and adopt a pet from the only open-admission shelter in Hillsborough County and the largest shelter in the Bay area.
PRC is waiving all fees on ready-to-go pets and offering 50% off pre-adoption fees as part of the national Clear the Shelters annual event, but the shelter will be taking it one step further and offering the adoption specials all weekend, Saturday and Sunday, August 17-18, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. PRC remains over capacity for the fourth week in a row, so Clear the Shelters couldn't come at a better time.
All pets adopted from PRC are vaccinated, registered, microchipped, and spayed or neutered before leaving the shelter, with many ready to go home with you the same day as adoption.
Not ready to adopt but still want to help? PRC is in need of dog and cat food to stock the shelves of the PRC Food Pantry that is currently empty. The PRC Food Pantry is for citizens in need of short-term assistance feeding their pets. Donations can be dropped off or mailed to 440 N Falkenburg Road, Tampa, FL 33619.
