Art Contest Invites Water Wise Students to Use Their Creative Skills

K-12 students are encouraged to submit water conservation posters through March 1

Hillsborough County students in grades K-12 are invited to participate in the 2020 Drop Savers Poster Contest to help their schools win bottle-filling water stations and reusable water bottles. The annual poster contest is sponsored by Hillsborough County Public Utilities and the City of Tampa Water Department to inspire students to learn about the importance of water conservation.

Public and private school students are encouraged to create a poster depicting a water conservation idea in slogan form, drawing form, or both. A panel of judges will review the top posters from each school for message, creativity, and originality in five divisions:

  • Kindergarten - 1st grade
  • 2nd - 3rd grade
  • 4th - 5th grade
  • 6th - 8th grade
  • 9th - 12th grade

The winning student's school in each division will be awarded a bottle-filling water station and up to 100 reusable water bottles. Winners' posters will also be submitted in the American Water Works Association's Florida Section statewide competition.

The submission deadline is March 1, 2020.
