County Initiative Helps Make Mental Health a Priority

Mindful Mondays provides a variety of free resources to help residents find balance in their day-to-day lives

Stress, tension, and anxiety have multiplied in all aspects of our lives since the start of the pandemic.

Hillsborough County understands the mental challenges that COVID-19 coronavirus presents and is offering simple resources through the new Mindful Mondays program to help promote the different ways to make mental health a priority.

Residents can visit the online Mindful Mondays Mental Health Resources Hub to participate and learn about unique programs and initiatives, and to read helpful articles.

Through Mindful Mondays, residents have access to a variety of free resources to help them find balance in their day-to-day lives.

Mindful Mondays offers virtual health classes focused on mental health and exercises to reduce stress that can be watched in the Mindful Mondays YouTube Playlist. There will be short videos to find "Moments of Zen" and relaxing nature tours. Content will also include mental health tips from community partners, along with ways County programs and initiatives can help residents manage stress.

Mindful Mondays was kicked off in May, Mental Health Awareness Month, but continues to offer resources and content throughout the year to support residents in making mental health a priority. Content will be updated on a continuing basis.
