New County Site Offers Free Pfizer Vaccines, Booster Shots, Testing
Hillsborough County opened a new location for residents to receive free COVID-19 testing and the Pfizer vaccine, including the Pfizer booster shot for residents 18 and over who meet the requirements.
Progress Village Park, located at 8701 Progress Blvd., Tampa, FL, 33619, is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday for residents who want a free COVID test or a Pfizer vaccine.
Appointments are not required to receive a free vaccine or a booster shot, but residents who'd like one can sign up at patientportalfl.com. Once on the site, click "create an account," select "vaccines," and follow the steps to schedule an appointment. For vaccination registration assistance, call (844) 770-8548. Learn more about vaccination and booster shot requirements, as well as other locations where vaccines and booster shots are offered by visiting our Vaccination Site Locations page.
For those who have not yet received a vaccine, the Pfizer vaccine will be available for people ages 12 and older. The vaccine will also be offered to people who have received their first Pfizer vaccine dose and are in the allotted window to receive their second vaccine dose.
Walkups are accepted for COVID testing at the Progress Village Park site. Both the rapid Antigen and PCR tests will be offered. For information on testing at Progress Village Park, call (850) 583-2419. Learn more on what to expect at the testing site.
