Hillsborough County's Nonprofit Safety Net Program Provides Financial Assistance for Nonprofits

Initiative helps local nonprofit groups that provide COVID-19 pandemic-based safety services to the community

Many of Hillsborough County's nonprofit organizations have continued to serve the community since the COVID-19 pandemic began, providing residents in need with essential COVID-19 pandemic-based services. In some cases, those organizations have struggled with revenue losses and unplanned costs as a result of the pandemic.

To help solve this problem, Hillsborough County has partnered with Community Foundation Tampa Bay to launch and administer an American Rescue Plan-funded Nonprofit Safety Net Program.

Support available

Beginning Jan. 31, nonprofit agencies impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic can apply to receive the support they need to continue serving local residents. Approved nonprofit agencies may use awarded financial assistance to offset revenue losses or cover incurred, unplanned costs resulting from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

There is no minimum revenue amount required to be considered for financial assistance under this program.

Nonprofit organizations can find more information on eligibility and apply.
