Wellness, Community Are Focus of New Wimauma Senior Center
The new Wimauma Senior Center is officially open to the community. The senior center offers an array of social, fitness, and recreational activities. Many free events are offered, including coffee hours, health and wellness presentations, and weekly classes on dancing, jewelry making, and more. An event calendar can be found online.
What makes the Wimauma Senior Center unique is that it is in the same building as several social, health, and medical services. These programs and services are provided through the Suncoast Community Health Center. The partnership between Hillsborough County and Suncoast Community Health Center allows services to be provided to local seniors in a one-stop shop for recreation, social, and medical purposes.

All local seniors, especially those already onsite visiting the Suncoast Community Health Center, are encouraged to visit the Wimauma Senior Center.
Amenities at the Wimauma Senior Center include:
- Computers

- Public parking
- Wi-Fi
- Bilingual (Spanish speaking) staff and seniors
