
Final Stop for the Mobile Disaster Recovery Center Announced for Hillsborough
Was your residence or business impacted by Hurricane Idalia? The Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) are still active in Hillsborough County, helping residents find post-storm relief.
Three more opportunities for in-person support are available in Hillsborough - two upcoming town hall meetings and an extended mobile Disaster Recovery Center (DRC).

The mobile DRC and the town hall meetings are open to individuals, families, businesses, and nonprofits affected by Hurricane Idalia. FEMA representatives will help residents complete applications for individual assistance, hazard mitigation, housing, and unmet needs.
Representatives offering complimentary legal services and housing assistance will answer questions and assist with applications. In addition, FDEM, Veterans Affairs, and the Small Business Administration will answer questions and connect residents to resources.
FEMA Individual Assistance Deadline
The deadline for residents to apply for FEMA Individual Assistance is Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023.
To apply for FEMA disaster assistance and receive in-person support, visit the mobile DRC or town hall meetings listed above. To apply online, visit DisasterAssistance.gov, use the FEMA app for smartphones, or call (800) 621-3362. Phone lines are open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day. The assistance could include financial help for temporary lodging, basic home repairs, and other disaster-related expenses.
