Hillsborough County's child care licensing will transition to the Department of Children and Families (DCF) effective July 1, 2023.

The Hillsborough County Children's Services team is committed to offering support to child care providers as it works through the transition. As part of the transition planning, DCF is hosting hybrid Town Hall meetings, where attendees have the option to attend virtually or in-person, to share information and answer questions. Preregistration is required as attendance is limited.

  • Tuesday, Jan. 24 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM (conducted in Spanish)
    • In person location at Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County, 6302 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Suite 100 in Tampa
    • Register for the Jan 24 event

For questions or more information, you can email the Florida Department of Children and Families.
