Vaccine Appointment Information
The federal government is establishing a vaccination site set to open March 3 at Tampa Greyhound Track, 755 E. Waters Ave. in Tampa. More information on getting vaccines at the federal site will be provided as it becomes available.
The State of Florida is operating a drive-thru vaccination site at University Mall, 2200 E. Fowler Ave., Tampa, FL 33612 for seniors age 65 and older and front-line health care workers.
Appointments are mandatory for the University Mall location. No walk-ups will be accepted. To request an appointment through the State, please call 1-866-200-3896 or TTY 1-844-251-5532 or visit myvaccine.fl.gov.

How do I make an appointment for a second dose?
I have already received my first dose and need to schedule my second dose.
If you are due for your second vaccine dose and have not been contacted by the state, please visit myvaccine.fl.gov. Select Hillsborough County as your preferred county and then click Get in Line. When prompted, fill out your contact information and indicate that you are seeking a second dose appointment in the dose drop down tab (to the right of Florida Resident). You will be contacted by the state directly after you register on the site.
I have an appointment for my first dose but have not received it yet. When can I schedule my second dose?
Residents with upcoming scheduled first-dose appointments at a state-run site will have their second-dose appointment scheduled on-site at the time of their first-dose vaccination.
How do I reschedule an appointment for a second dose?
If you must reschedule your second vaccine dose, please visit myvaccine.fl.gov and follow the scheduling steps listed above. You will be contacted by the state directly after you register on the site.
Per guidance issued by the CDC, the second dose should be administered as close to the recommended interval as possible. However, the second dose of Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines may be scheduled for administration up to 6 weeks (42 days) after the first dose.
Other Vaccine Options
While Hillsborough County currently does not have access to the number of vaccines being distributed by hospitals and private health care systems, additional vaccination efforts are underway in this community. Qualified individuals under Phase I of the governor of Florida's vaccination distribution plan are also encouraged to check with their health care provider as they may be able to provide a vaccine.
