Overview

Camps offer participants fun age/ability appropriate adapted recreational activities including crafts, games, field trips and skill development. Summer camp sessions are two-weeks long for one session.

If you are looking for a great place for your kids to spend their summer days, then check out our Parks & Recreation run summer camps. We have traditional camps for younger kids, teen camps, adaptive recreation program camps, and specialty camps. Summer camp for 2020 is Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. from June 8 - August 7.

Priority online registration:

  • After-school participants only 
  • Starts March 2 at noon and will end on March 31, 2020

Open online registration:

  • Open to all
  • Starts April 6, 2020 at noon

  • There are only four sessions

Please note: Those eligible for a discount must build an online profile, and provide their current Free/Reduced Lunch Letter to any recreation center location before they complete registration.

Session Dates

We will offer four 2-week session camps and a 1-week session camp for a total of nine weeks.

All camps run from 7:30 AM to 6 PM, Monday - Friday, unless otherwise noted.

  • Session 1: June 8 - June 19
  • Session 2: June 22 - July 2
  • Session 3: July 6 - July 17
  • Session 4: July 20 - July 31
  • Session 5: August 3 - August 7 (one week)

  1. Traditional & Inclusion Camps
    • Traditional camps are for children 6 - 12 yrs old (must have completed kindergarten)
      • Activities include adventure, nature, fitness, athletics, crafts and reading
      • All camps include field trips, guest speakers and on site events
    • Inclusion camps are for children 6 - 17 yrs old (must have completed kindergarten)
      • Provide opportunities for children with disabilities to interact and learn alongside their non-disabled peers in a recreational setting

  3. Adaptive Recreation Program - Camp Sparks
    • Camp Sparks is designed for children from age 5 to 22, who have disabilities such as autism, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injuries and/or learning disabilities, and the locations are staffed with a 1-to-6 staff-to-student ratio by our Adaptive Recreation Team

  • Prior to registration, you must establish an online Parks & Recreation account order to sign up for camps
  • If your child has a current reduced or free lunch letter, your child may qualify for the reduced pricing. See information on how to apply.
  • Payment is due at the time of registration for each two week session

    • When the registration period is active, you will be able to either click on the activity number to take you directly to the online registration or you can search for the activity number when you are in your Parks & Rec account
