Our therapeutic recreation program offers training and competition in swimming, basketball, bocce, bowling, cycling, flag football and volleyball for athletes interested in competing in the Special Olympics.
Special Olympics’ mission is to provide year round sports training and competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for people with intellectual disabilities, giving them opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in athletic competitions.
Interested in competing?
First you should check athlete eligibility and then complete the necessary medical release forms. Ready to get started? Contact Sheila Hill by email or call (813) 892-0051 to find out about training opportunities.
This program is for all ages of individuals with an intellectual/developmental disability.
Volunteers and Unified Partners
Unified Partners have the opportunity to participate in the sport with the athlete and they can achieve greatness together. Interested in volunteering or becoming a Unified Partner? Email Sheila Hill or call (813) 892-0051.
