- Companionship
- Consumable medical supplies
- Emergency alert response (call button worn around the neck or wrist)
- Home delivered meals
- Homemaking
- Personal care
- Lock boxes for bedbound seniors whom live alone or are left alone during the day in the event they have an emergency and need to let EMS/police into their home but are unable to physically do it themselves
Applying for and receiving services
Call the Elder Helpline at 1-800-963-5337, or Aging Services at (813) 272-5250 to complete an application by phone. Seniors are selected for services based on eligibility criteria with applicants most in need approved first.
The level of service is determined by a thorough application process. Once approved for service, a case manager visits the home and identifies needs, develops a plan for services, monitors progress, and provides ongoing support when changes occur. Please note that Aging Services does not provide medical care.
Fees for the In-home service program are charged on a sliding scale based on income.
