County's program eases access to contracts for minority, women-owned businesses

As part of Hillsborough County's commitment to fostering the success of minority/women-owned businesses, 10 businesses obtained contracts to build the County's three newest fire stations as part of the Minority/Women-owned Business Enterprise and Small Business Encouragement (MBE/SBE) programs.

New and replacement fire stations

New Fire Rescue stations 45 (Brandon) and 46 (Riverview) as well as replacement station 29 (Apollo Beach) were all built with help from minority and women-owned businesses. Examples of work performed in the three stations by these businesses include roof construction, glass and window installation, painting, fencing, and cabinets.

See the list below of the certified minority and women-owned businesses that helped build Hillsborough's newest fire stations.
