Important Notices
A small number of Hillsborough County Public Utilities customers may have recently received an incorrect collections letter from our collection agency, RTR Financial Services, as a result of a technical issue within our customer billing system. The issue has been isolated and we are currently working to resolve the error. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused our customers. If you have received a collection letter in error or have any concerns with your current account status, please contact our Customer Call Center at (813) 272-6680 for further clarification.
Hillsborough County is performing billing system upgrades over the next several weeks. During this transition, online viewing of bill statements generated since Feb. 1, 2021 will be unavailable. All customers will continue to receive monthly bills by mail until the system transition is completed. To update your mailing address, please contact our Customer Call Center at (813) 272-6680. Billing processes, automatic bill payments, the ability to access account balances and pay online and by phone, and most other basic account services are not affected by the current upgrades. It is our goal to resume paperless bill presentations by the end of June.

Things To Consider
- If you received a two-month bill or a discontinue notice, please use our 24/7 automated pay-by-phone or online service
- If your account is interrupted for non-payment, services will not be restored until the next working day after your full payment is received
- All payments that post after the due date on the bill may require additional collection processes and result in a deposit increase review
- Do not pay water restriction violations online or by phone
- To pay water restriction violations, use the envelope provided with the citation, or pay in person at our Northdale or Brandon Customer Service Centers
