For Employees

Florida residents whose incomes are negatively affected by efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19 may be eligible for Reemployment Assistance.

Help from the State of Florida

If you have lost your job and you need help with unemployment benefits call 1-800-204-2418 or go online at  FloridaJobs.org and click Reemployment Assistance Service Center to learn more about the program and watch a short video about how to apply.

Eligibility

People may apply if they:

  • Are quarantined by a medical professional or government agency.
  • Were laid off or sent home without pay by their employer due to COVID-19.
  • Are caring for an immediate family member who has contracted the virus.

Residents who still receive wages, even if on paid leave due to coronavirus measures, are not eligible for Reemployment Assistance.

People seeking help due to the virus outbreak are subject to the same application, review, and payment processes as everyone applying for Reemployment Assistance.
