Online Registration Dates
Hillsborough County Parks & Recreation has extended summer camp registration for current after-school program participants until Thursday, April 30. Public online registration will now start Friday, May 1.

Camps offer participants fun age/ability appropriate adapted recreational activities including crafts, games, field trips and skill development. Summer camp sessions are two-weeks long for one session.

If you are looking for a great place for your kids to spend their summer days, then check out our Parks & Recreation run summer camps. We have traditional camps for younger kids, teen camps, adaptive recreation program camps, and specialty camps. Summer camp for 2020 is Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. from June 8 - August 7.

Priority online registration:

  • After-school participants only 
  • Starts March 2 at noon and will end on April 30, 2020

Open online registration:

  • Open to all
  • Starts May 1, 2020 at noon

  • There are only four sessions

Please note: Those eligible for a discount must build an online profile, and provide their current Free/Reduced Lunch Letter to any recreation center location before they complete registration.

Session Dates

We will offer four 2-week session camps and a 1-week session camp for a total of nine weeks.

All camps run from 7:30 AM to 6 PM, Monday - Friday, unless otherwise noted.

  • Session 1: June 8 - June 19
  • Session 2: June 22 - July 2
  • Session 3: July 6 - July 17
  • Session 4: July 20 - July 31
  • Session 5: August 3 - August 7 (one week)

  1. Traditional & Inclusion Camps
    • Traditional camps are for children 6 - 12 yrs old (must have completed kindergarten)
      • Activities include adventure, nature, fitness, athletics, crafts and reading
      • All camps include field trips, guest speakers and on site events
    • Inclusion camps are for children 6 - 17 yrs old (must have completed kindergarten)
      • Provide opportunities for children with disabilities to interact and learn alongside their non-disabled peers in a recreational setting

  3. Adaptive Recreation Program - Camp Sparks
    • Camp Sparks is designed for children from age 5 to 22, who have disabilities such as autism, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injuries and/or learning disabilities, and the locations are staffed with a 1-to-6 staff-to-student ratio by our Adaptive Recreation Team

    • Eco-Adventure Camps - If you can’t wait to explore, investigate and play outdoors, then the Eco-Adventure Camp is the place for you (Ages 9 - 15)
    • Skateboarding Camps - Our staff will offer beginner skate lessons and go over: skateboard fundamentals, techniques, board control, maneuverability, safety, and course etiquette (Ages 8 - 15)
